    I. Overview

    The general method for on-site acceptance of the overall floor of the super-flat floor inspection instrument is developed and produced in accordance with the relevant requirements. It also meets the ASTM E1155M standard of the United States. The instrument is composed of a detection frame and a tablet computer, and is convenient for assembly and maintenance. The test software is fully in Chinese, which conforms to the usage habits of Chinese people and is simple and easy to use. It can not only directly read the flatness FF and FL values of the current tested floor profile line, but also archive all test data in an Excel data table for later analysis.

    Ii. Applications and Specifications for Floor Flatness

    2.1 Uses

    The flatness of the floor includes the flatness and levelness of the ground, which directly affects the forklifts, trucks and other cargo handling tools traveling on its surface. A ground with poor flatness will cause greater shaking of the moving vehicles, make the operators more prone to fatigue, and also reduce the working speed of the vehicles, affecting work efficiency.

    At present, the main methods for detecting the flatness of domestic floors are the straightedge method and the water splashing observation method. The straightedge method involves using a 2-meter or 3-meter straightedge and a wedge-shaped feeler gauge to inspect the floor surface. The specific procedure is to place the straightedge on the floor surface, then find the maximum gap between the straightedge and the ground and test the size of the gap with a wedge-shaped feeler gauge. This method is neither scientific nor repeatable. At the same time, it has low testing efficiency and is time-consuming and labor-intensive. In addition, this method, due to the use of 2m or 3m straightedges, can only detect the flatness of the ground within 2m or 3m and is basically unable to measure the levelness over a larger range.

    F values for the American concrete association (AmericanConcreteInstitute# 117) and the Canadian standards association (CanadianStandardAssociation# A23.1) to regulate and measurement standard of concrete floor level and elevation difference. This specification includes two F values: FF represents flatness, and FL represents height difference. Flatness is related to the uplift and depression of the floor. The height difference value is related to the slope or height difference of the floor. That is to say, the flatness FF indicates the degree of undulation of the overall meaning of the floor, and the levelness FL indicates the degree of inclination of the overall meaning of the floor. The higher the F value, the better the flatness of the floor.
